SPECTRA Caregivers’ Village is a free, online WhatsApp community for parents and caregivers of autistic and neurodivergent children.
It is a gentle, peer‑led space where families can feel less alone, share real‑life experiences, and access community knowledge about navigating school, services, and daily life.
This service is 100% online and flexible: there are no scheduled meetings or events, and caregivers can participate at their own pace—reading quietly, asking questions, or sharing when they have the energy.
The focus is on emotional support, practical tips, and culturally aware connection, especially for racialized and newcomer families in and around Edmonton.
SPECTRA Caregivers’ Village is a peer support space, not therapy or crisis intervention. Members are expected to respect confidentiality, be kind and non‑judgmental, and refrain from giving medical or legal advice.
Participation is free and voluntary, and members can leave the WhatsApp group at any time.
